As retarded as that report was I am starting to question if there was some truth behind it.....about Valverde giving Rakitic guarantees every game most of the minutes if he's available in exchange of him staying at Barca and not joining PSG.

I lean towards not believing it though. If it's true then it's a disgrace and both Rakitic and Valverde need to get the fuck out of Barcelona, but I hope and trust it's not, for now at least.

The report seemed dumb, considering PSG themselves weren't really in a position to pay his buyout clause and he has a contract until 2021 and he was already a starter as Valverde loves him. He didn't have any leverage in this situation at all.

But considering what has gone on this season with Valverde refusing to bench him or sub him off, you start to wonder if there is indeed truth to it. If there is Valverde is more pathetic than I realized.

i don't go along with the 'hes washed up/shit' i think hes exhausted. we've seen Modric drop off this season aswell, he had a long World cup and played an extra game even with the extra time. EV won't rest him so we get a zombie in midfield

i'd say its 50% on EV being terrible and 50% on Raki wanting to play ever second, hes become a powerful figure in the dressing room no doubt. if PSG rumours were serious we are BONKERS
