Really don't understand how Barca fans are so optimistic about a tie with Real Madrid. Although I agree that Barca are best placed to take down Madrid, primarily due to mental edge, RM still start as favorites, regardless of whether it's a semi or final. It'll be entirely up to the form of the day as I don't believe either team is structurally much better than the other. RM will start as favorites because they have the better players and seem to just turn it on in the CL.

There are folks on both extremes here, both are quite annoying to be honest.

We can beat Real Madrid, and vice versa. I don't get those who think they are shit or we are shit.

Read my previous reply for you. Barca always have the mental edge. Real Madrid's greatest strength is their midfield and Ronaldo's movement. The only team that has better midfield (when highly motivated) and who could read and nullify Ronaldo's movements are Barca.

So what ? We completely destroyed them in 2012 but lost. We played the right game and won thats my humble opinion. You also forgot that every game is different. You prepare for match again Real differently then one against chelsea. I think the trick is to not let real score a goal early. They more the match drage on without a goal the more frustrated they get.

We are not talking about winning and losing here.

After dominating PSG and Juve on top of being back to back Champions I admit there is an element of fear to this Real Madrid side that can only be met imo by Barca as many have said (With a strong Messi to lead us). They literally beat teams with their mentality and presence. The football is not fantastic. A tie with them would see Messi and Iniesta enter God mode and that usually means a win for us if the last 10 years serve as evidence.

Prior to the 2-3 game last year, Messi didn't score against RM for 3 years and was anonymous in those Clasicos. He also was not great in the Supercup games this season. Wtf are you talking about?
