Maybe Nike considers helping here a little and they are the ones pushing for him. Disregard the hack or whatever the hell happened with their site.

Think about it, currently we have the biggest stars singed with Adidas(Messi, Suarez) or Puma(Dembele). From what I know only Iniesta and Pique are sponsored by Nike and let's face it they're not as marketable as a brazilian PL star in his prime. After Neymar left they were left with their pants down at our club.

Nike could for example cover some of his salary with marketing bonuses or whatever kind of clauses they can sign with him.

Then again, Bartomeu and co have fixations from time to time and Coutinho could be no different.

170 - 180m. is too damn much. We should not sign him at this price. In fact, what we should do is approach these players before they renew their contracts to give ourselves some advantages in negotiations. One thing is to get Coutinho when he has 1-2 years max on his contract, and a whole new different game when he's just signed until 2022 or so.

Bayern seem to approach players 1-2 seasons before their contract runs out and they either wait and get them for free (Lewa), or get them for a fair price like Hummels. Get ahead of the game if we don't want to risk the club's finances.

Thought that you cant beat that summer circus we had and now this I mean nike announcing coutinho and still not statement by anyone(nike/barca/liverpool). So childish behaviour by all parties and now he is suddenly injured. What should i believe?
