And i thought i was underwhelmed with Matic for £40m. What will the starting midfield be? Busquets-Gomes-Paulinho?

gonna be hilarious watching Paulinho and Gomes

hopefully on a serious note the midfield will look more like

Roberto-Busquets
----Coutinho-

We should consider playing like Stoke or any "bully" EPL team at this point. Paulinho and Gomes need to be the big bad bullies of the mid, with crazy sliding tackles and the ability to play long balls to Suarez and Messi. Come to think of it, it wouldn't be bad at all. We could play a 4-4-2 with Gomes and Paulinho as CM/DM hybrids.

It would be a change of style but it would definitely catch teams by surprise when they see our team with crazy tackles, 30 % possession, and playing the long balls game. Fully expect Mascherano to be a starter too.

gomes couldn't bully a kitten even if his life depended on it.

We should be looking into younger ppl, this administration is a joke. It's not the players fault that Barca comes knocking on your door, so I'm not gonna blame him. I hope he can exceed my expectations, and if we can get 2 -3 good years out of him and maybe a few titles, I would be more than happy. He has things that Busquet lacks: speed, strength, good in the air. And he has given up money to come to Barca, and I applaud him for that.

All the socis need to stand behind Beneditos vote of no confidence, this is SO important. I reckon not many of you are based in Barcelona, but if you know any socis, get them to sign on for the vote of no confidence expected to be starting on the 8th of September. We need to push this board overboard, guys. Enough is enough.

And Paulinho is not the culprit in this tragic comedy, I hope he does well, since he is one of us now. As unknowngenius10 stated, he even paid a big amount of the transfer fee to join us and took a considerable pay-cut, all virtues we praised the likes of Mascherano of exhibiting when he came in from Liverpool.

I'm sure the thought process of Fernandez was to get our own 'Casemiro', and to be fair Busquets has been looking bad for over a year now. But nothing justifies 40mil euros for a former Tottenham flop who is pushing 30.

no he didnt pay any of the transfer fee. He earned slightly more in fixed wage in China and will still be one of the best paid players in our squad. 10 freaking million per year over 4 years. Paulinho isnt a DM and Busi is 100 times the player he is. But I do suspect that since everyone thinks he cant pass the ball sideways he will get a lot of praise benefiting from rock bottom expectations. The management believe they can get away with this because so many people only think short term and easily forget. Watch him score a goal or two and the 80m we pay is seen as "acceptable". Meanwhile, our future is getting destroyed having to pay huge amounts in wages for aging garbage.

Are you kidding? Both of them wouldn't even finish the game, we're not Madrid, referees will show us yellow and red cards the moment they can.
