Stumbled upon this article as well. Everything is spot on. Sheer incompetence by our higher ups. Just saw Madrid signed Vallejo as well. So that's 3 players Madrid have signed that are super young and have loads of potential. They will eventually get Mbappe and be primed for dominance for the next 10 years. Hate them as a team but have to admire what Perez is doing. Bending Barto over and spanking him.
Perez made many mistakes in his 1st tenure. Had more than his fair share of luck in recent years in Europe too. He's far from your model president.
Oh, and all the while with the help from his minions dressed in yellow.
He does sign young players with re-sale value and knows how to take care of business though. Bartomeu on the other side is just an awkward pencil pusher without vision and charisma.

We are heading the Milan route while Real is improving.
La masia getting destroyed and robbed, dumb signing after another. We have no plan for the post Messi years.

We can't compete with them even now. Even with Messi performing in god mode last season he couldn't drag us to glory with the boat anchors we've got in midfield whom can't make a single pass through the lines.
We beat them at Bernabeu last time I checked and they barely won La Liga after god knows how long and with a helping hand.

Barcelona are one of the richest clubs and it's history and city itself will always be a big factor in attracting players.
We could have a better president but there's really nothing we can do about it. Enjoying Messi though...
