Denis Suarez

Gerard Romero chimed in on this and said nothing is done yet and it's likely the board trying to pressure Denis.

I mean seriously is it really this hard to get him back? it seems like we are doing our best to ruin perhaps the easiest transfer deal we can make.

Of course it is not done yet, we all know that. But pressuring him with that tweet? Nah, that Romero guy is overthinking.

Honestly I am a little sick of Denis Suarez playing hard ball with us now. He wants more money? What happens to wanting to play for Barca? He is a good player but he is not adding too much value to our midfield I think so if he wants to go with the highest bidder, let him be.

Did you read the article from the tweet?

Highly unlikely.the whole article is based on R.Fernandez press conference and tbh I would take the words of the guy in charge over any periodista even if it was Romero

for me he is not a CM for .
people liken him to Iniesta because he once played as a CAM and winger

we don't play those positions anymore
we play two CMs with robust defensive qualities not CAMs that jump in and around the box

According to Fernando Polo (MD) Denis wants to join Barca but what's holding up the deal is his Agent/Denis wants better wages compared to his Sevilla/Villarreal days. He also has better offers and he's keeping that in mind.

Lucho wants Denis, and the question is will he try and force his hand to have the club give Denis what he wants? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Match his Sevilla/Villarreal wages and tell him that's it. Give your best and get better wages too. If all he wants is high wages then he could jump the ship sooner or later.

We certainly shouldnt give him so much money that he'll be impossible to shift if he flops. Thats been a recurring theme for far too long.

It is only logical that he should earn more than what he did at Sevilla and Villarreal! It is very unfortunate that the board is playing hard ball here where the player is actually coming for dirt cheap of a transfer fee!

And no it would not be hard to get him shifted. He has been a valid player for two different teams already, so there's a very high chance he would find suitors if we wanted to replace him later, which I hope we do not! He is 22 for crying out loud! We are finding it hard to replace other players because they are either too old or too God damn average and Denis does not fit in neither of the classes!

He's not coming for dirt cheap. He's just been on a very expensive loan basically. We offloaded him as part of the Raki deal, we have paid his wages and now we buy him back. He will earn more than at Sevilla and Villarreal but we shouldnt go overboard. We struggle immensely to sell our players already.
