He is exactly the player lucho would want. Makes more sense than pogba. Who said he is looking for xavi replacement exactly? He just wants someone to put in the numbers xavi put and also steal some minutes from iniesta and give him some competition. Arda will add depth to midfield and right wing and left wing too. The price doesn't make sense though. And if we sign pogba too what about la masia grads? They wont get a single minute. Pogba rakitic iniesta and arda will rotate. If Pedro leaves arda and munir will add depth to front line.

Just cant see where he fits.

Arda is not mobile or defensively minded enough to play in midfield three and not quick enough to play in front three.

This Barca team has been built on energy and movement and Arda doesnt even last 90 mins a lot of the time.

He could be phenomenal in a team that covers for his weaknesses but he wont get that at Barca.

I agree. And this is coming from someone who really enjoyed Arda even before he came to Atletico.

I'd really like to not sign anyone else this summer honestly. Give some of the youngsters a shot, if they can't deliver sign someone in january. Seems like current RM role could suit Samper, although not so much Rafinha imo- he needs a more attacking role to get the best out of him. The LM position is a more attacking position for us atm, but him being left footed makes it a bit awkward for him.

Pogba would completely redefine LM for us, and why fix something that isn't broken. Kovacic could walk right into that position.

I still don't see where he'll play. He's way behind Pedro for any of the attacking roles so that leaves him fighting for a spot in the 3 behind them. Busquets is a certain, Masche plays there sometimes as well, Iniesta is back on form and Raki had a great 2015... I'm intrigued.

We don't have players with that capabilities. And Coutinho is brilliant - when he takes the ball and start to advance across the pitch, eating space in huge bites, dribbling the players on his way... shooting from 30 m ... what a technique... I imagine how great would it be to have him...

so scoring a goal vs manuel neur apparently makes you good enough for barca midfield,
there are a number of players who are miles better for barca than those, players who have all round ability and who play at a world class level,
we deserve much better players than those and the truth of the matter is, there are actually players who are much better than those in terms of technical ability

and oh, they are substandard, probably sevilla, or villareal level, nothing close to barca level

i have seen them play over 90 minutes in a number of matches, 3 highlight moments per match doesnt make you good enough for barca midfield,
what they contribute over 90 minutes is not good enough for barca midfield, not even close
