And Pique wasn't in his best form ,while Bartra was very raw back then .he is much better player right now

Not to mention a declining Xavi, less than 50% fit Messi, a dying coach... on and on. Let's show them whos the boss this time around.:barcascarf:

Thankfully our squad is healthy this time around. I remember the two legs Very well and I don't think I can take anymore 7-0 jokes anymore  Things just went wrong at the wrong time and not only that Jupp's Bayern was incredible.

Last time we played Bayern, we ONLY had Pique and Bartra.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we actually start Adriano as CB?

Makes me shudder to remember it, but I do think that's what happened? As Puyol and Mascherano were injured and Tito didn't trust Bartra (he only came on when Adriano himself was injured).

That, if I remember correctly, was against RM in the 2-2 when Pique broke his foot (?).

Adriano was the LB. Valdes, Dani Alves, Pique, Bartra, Adriano, Xavi, Song, Iniesta, Villa, Fabregas, Pedro

Things going wrong for Pep in a eerie fashion to Tito's Barca. Robben and Ribery out that's like having Messi half fit. ;)

In the first match we had:
-- Alves, Pique, Barta, Alba
-- Busi, Xavi, Iniesta
-- Pedro, Messi, Alexis

We don't need a further revisionism, so that it will turn out that we lost only because of injuries back then.
In the first leg, we had a lice lineup, but we were trashed in every footballing aspect.

Let's move on.
We were a crap, with some injuries and an ill coach back then.
And we lost heavily.

This time we were much better and won, that't is.

They were overally (even without injuries) a better team back then, and we are a better team now.

Adriano was pretty good back then.

No he wasn't. That was the period when he scored random golazos in La Liga matches, but he's still been a definite "Play as few minutes as possible" kind of player for some time, and that was when he wasn't injured.

I love Big Mat but I can see why Lucho hasn't been trusting him as much recently. Like last week, subbing him on disrupted the balance a bit which gave them the opportunity to have some momentum. He's done well as a fullback in the first half of the season, but in big games like this, it's tough to come on and do well cold-turkey in your secondary position.
