It does remain to be seen how good a siging Vermaelen is. He would never have been allowed to leave Arsenal for free anyway so that was not going to be an option.

I am not assuming Lucho had the final say on the Douglas transfer. It was said at the time.

Far worse deals were done and more money lost than Douglas or Vermaelen.

Lucho got a grade way too high. A 5 would be more appropiate. Also, 4.2 to zubi is too much... a big fat 0 would be the correct one.

In the end you can blame the socio's as well, if something is destroying your club and you have the power to change it then dont let it happen.
They (board) all should have been out along with Rosell, then this year it would have been a new solid board with clear idea's and a good policy spending our whole budget on the new team with a quality manager.
Now we are basically stuck till 2016, I cant see us win any major trophy till 2017 or 2018, then Messi will be in his 30's,if he is still here.
Wont be surprise if they sold him next year or he says fuck it and goes.
