He could have scored at least one goal today. Come on, let's not be so temperamental just because he did not score today. He will continue to score goals, goals galore.

That record by Messi is pretty insane. Ronaldo scored 20 goals in 13 fixtures of this season(I know that he missed some but it doesn't matter) so he has 25 fixtures left to score 31 goal to break the record. If he doesn't get injured he could possibly make it but it's gonna be extremely hard and tight. The reason he's scoring less these days is because he's trying to prove that he can also be a creator and assist which could ensure Ballon d'Or. If he gets a hattrick here and there against the weaker teas he could get it and the record would be shattered. :messi: . We truly are lucky to live in this Messi & Ronaldo era. When all is done and dusted they'll be top scorers in La Liga and Champions League. Ronaldo will most likely be 2nd in All time top scorers of La Liga and I doubt anyone will ever overtake Ronaldo & Messi on that leaderbord. I expect Ronaldo to finish in the 300's while Messi is most likely going to be in the 400 goal range if they aren't hit by injuries or transfered. Both will also probably reach the 100 goal tally in champions league and that record will also never be broken. Fun fact is how Benzema is so overlooked, he currently has 41 goals in CL and is on the 12th spot. Spot number 5 has 50 goals and spot number 4 has 56 goals so Benz should easily overrun those numbers if he stays at Madrid.

He just might hit 50. It certainly isn't impossible. Let's hope he doesn't, but false confidence will only lead to disappointment.

Broke CL goal record on the way to being part of the team winning CL? Breaking records isn't only exceptional when Messi does it.
