Agreed. He is certainly been overlooked by many fans, I myself don't really appreciate his contribution over the past 3-4 years.

Good analysis,and overall I agree with the article,but as seen this season,his distribution has been reduced to clearances so his keeping must have improved,right? wrong
its not like he either has to be good at playing he ball or at shot stopping,the so called sacrifice has been exagerated and while he was more prone to mistakes due to the high risk game he plays,some gaffes have nothing to do with him being the sweeper keeper

I agree that this season wasn't his best, but then again was there someone who had a good season for their standards besides Messi?
Still, to say Valdés was poor considering what he has done for Barça for 11 years is ridiculous. He was a very good keeper especially 2006-2012.
