The Ajax rejects squad is especially true 😂😂.

Martinez instead of Kounde
Anthony instead of raphinha, all the important goals he contributed last season, 0% chance Anthony is doing that 😂

Lets be fair though... United have like 10 1st team players out. A lot of important players are missing and they played a good game today.

they have many starters missing but they did not play a good game. to be fair I watched after 29th minute or something so perhaps they were good before. but after that only luck helped them not get 8-0ed by bayern.

No injuries are not a valid excuse when dont play best team and other team have injuries also.

All teams deal with injuries..

The top ones deal with them the best.

Folk pick and choosing when injuries is relevant excuse matters also.

It depends.
In our case, Garcia and Pique were reasons for getting knocked out but better choices could have been made too. Also, we were not missing that many players.
United have Sancho, Antony, Mount, Varane, Shaw, Amrabat, Wan Bissaka, Amad, Malacia and more out, which is the bulk of their playing squad.

It's time for Xavi haters to take their L

Slim chances. They are gonna take their L forcibly if he wins a CL and joins the elite echelon of managers that won a CL + a big league title. Pep, Carlo, Klopp, that sort of greatness.

Until then don't think it is gonna happen.

Still amusing to see that the managers they approved instead of Xavi are all doing jack shit atm. Proving they have no clue at all. Outside of Pep, Klopp, and Carlo, basically the creme de la creme of tier-A managers, Xavi is the one who had the best results in the last 2-3 years or so.

Xavi's won a league title.

Same way Napoli won a league title being larger underdogs than Barca were and not having won a league title since 1989. Surely that has to mean Spalletti had the better results, since he won a league title as a big underdog for a team that hasn't done it in 3 decades? Or Pioli? Or Inzaghi who got an absolutely broke and aging Inter squad to a CL final (something you said is impossible without spending hundreds of millions), 2 Coppa Italias, and is probably winning them Scudetto this season?

The standards you set about 'winning things' dont match with your evaluation. Xavi hasnt had best results out of European managers other than Pep Klopp and Carlo.

La Liga is higher tier league than Serie A. Spalletti didn't win a league title ahead of CL holders. But true, Spalletti also showed more in recent seasons than likes of ETH, Pochettino, Allegri, or others that some of the fans here preferred instead of Xavi.

Napoli havent won it since 1989 until that league title so relatively it is clearly a very difficult task for their institution.

As said, Spalletti last season was excellent. Xavi and him were some of the best if not the best 2nd tier managers after the big ones that we all know.
