I thin its better for Spain or Portugal to be second in the group, so they can face Russia instead of Uruguay. Both would win against Russia but then Argentinia could probably wait for them.

Home teams are helped by the refs because the tournament is usually more lively while hosts are still in it.

So, if you can win against Russia 2:0, you will be fine.
In a tight match, don't be surprised for late penalties and similar.
