Which players should we buy for next season?

Who do you think should be our number one transfer targets, discuss.

Note: Multiple choice poll

Ignore my horrible typo, I think we should target get a striker and a defender, Fabregas is a maybe but I don't think we will need him tbh.

Hi, its me..
i choose cesc.

its obvious he will return at some point.. and the euros are next year so his price will probably increase, might aswell get him this season for around the 40m mark, let him rotate with the squad (kinda like keita, he's played nearly every game this season)

then push for a starting role in the future, when we will need to choose when we need to play xavi.

AND.

considering most of our squad will be with spain in euro 2012, he will most certainly get playing time as they will all be tired. (im assuming cesc wont start for spain)

A seasoned midfielder (Free agent Pirlo)
A talented WF (Alexis Sanchez)
A competent CB (Botia)

We could wrap up the above transfers for <30M

we should sign Cote, as we have. I wouldn't have thought of him specifically but it fits what I was talking about with Sakho. he replaces Maxwell, so we have 3 LB's, but I think Bilal will operate as our 3rd choice CB with Bartra taking the role of 4th choice and also backup RB (with Sakho we could just use La Masia to back up Dani, as Sakho can play CB too). we don't need to sign a specialist CB now, especially as Badger & Busquets can play CB if needs be (which is something I hadn't really considered when vaunting Sakho).

the advantages of Cote are he's cheaper and Spanish, so adaptation time will take less, we'll have more to spend elsewhere, and he'll have the chance for club & country linkups for many years to come, should he kick on as he should.

Sakho would have been more proven, but also a bit too much like squad stacking given he's essentially identical to Abidal in his style & versatility. and as much as I love Botia, he is a specialist CB so bringing him back, while awesome, would probably be a waste (more squad stacking) as he'd not be likely to see as much gametime as he should. still wouldn't complain if we did bring him back, as it'd only be for €2m.

then we should also sign Cesc, for sure.

then Sanchez (of those listed) for the forward line. though part of me would like to see us get Kun Aguero for that spot.

I also selected Pastore, who I reckon could play in either of the lines and is for sure great chums with Messi. so if all else fails we could bring him in.

Dream Signings-

Striker- Pato
Midfielder- Cesc
Defender- Thiago Silva

Realistic Signings-

Striker- Aguero/Rossi. No thanks on Sanchez, good player for counter attacking which we dont do much of and doesn't score many goals. I don't see Rossi giving us anything special, Aguero would be best since he has the best eye for goal.
Midfielder- Cesc/Pastore. I consider Pastore a great player, unique and very attacking minded, Cesc would obviously fit much more considering he can sit back more with Xavi getting older.
Defender- Sakho, Botia. Sakho has great leadership but I'd rather have leadership coming from a La Masia product- not sure we have that type of player tho atm.

thiago silva would be a great puji replacement

there's only one player with enough rugged machismo to take over Puyol's role. and it ain't Thiago bloody Silva.

I'm guessing the Godfather part of Messi would ensure we buy at least one of Pastore & Aguero, since MIlito is poised to leave... I hope it's Aguero though, because Pastore didn't yet convince me. Moreover a Pastore type in our mid field would unsettle our defensive setup

According to sport the three main targets for the summer transfer market are

Rossi
Sanchez
Cesc

now their are a couple of things i see wrong with this

the first is pretty obvious why would be want to buy both rossi and sanchez and if by translation isn't wrong thats exactly what i saw, these players added to MVP, would be too much i think and we will be doing a Madrid or City and just buying players that we don't really need.

the 2nd thing is that they are saying Botia may be included in the rossi deal to bring down the price to about 25m. now i personally would be pissed about this, has i was looking forward to see botia return home this summer.

rossel also claims he is not willing to pay no more than 25m for cesc which is a bit of a joke in today's market has much has i hate him.

it is also being said the william of shahktar is the back up if we don't get Rossi or Sanchez

yusuf

Yusuf Islam
so no forlan :( but villa is basically our forlan as he ages and we need a good young striker ....i pray bojan turns into him

Don't worry about that... Our newspapers are trash anyway. After all the statements given by Preciado and Botia that suggestion seems foolish talk.
