cause busquets is a much better beast in midfield.

he dislikes busquets to the core, homey. will do absolutely everything to put down the anteater.
plus it is well known that busquets in midfield is vital than having mascherano in midfield or having abidal as a left back because former is a sub at best when whole team is healthy and latter plays in a position where there is a lot of backup.
having busquets at cb may not be as detrimental to him as a player as much as it would be detrimental to the team. this could be another way of interpreting it.

another way to look at this is who is playing in front of the two cb because that player eventually makes himself an auxiliary cb during the attack phase.
if busquets plays in the center of defense, would you trust mascherano (who is positionally not as good as busquets for breaking up attacks or maintaining possession or passing) or keita (for similar reasons as mentioned for mascherano)?
or the other way around with mascherano in center of defence and busquets being in the middle of the field hence maintaining possession and breaking up play with discipline?
these are some questions that this poll does not answer.
if busquets plays in the center of defense, would you trust mascherano (who is positionally not as good as busquets for breaking up attacks or maintaining possession or passing) or keita (for similar reasons as mentioned for mascherano)?
or the other way around with mascherano in center of defence and busquets being in the middle of the field hence maintaining possession and breaking up play with discipline?

Well. Busquets showed why he can't play CB in front of my eyes in the Man U game.....

since our defensive line is so high up, its imperative to have cbs that have some pace. you cant put someone like carvalho (though an amazing defender) in our backline and expect him to perform well. this was the main issue as to why chygrynskiy suffered at barcelona because opposition will utilize the one weakness that our system has which is a massively stretched defensive line with the use of direct passes or over the top passes where strikers (generally quicker strikers) will tend to have a race for the ball.
this does not tend to happen for barcelona when busquets is playing in midfield (or happens with a small rate of success) as the opposition play generally succeeds through the wings. but when you play him at CB, his lack of pace looks very evident whilst his positioning skills, which are remarkable, look invaluable in a foot race.
therefore, this poll should not be given any credibility without considering who is playing in the DM position because i am sure that even abidal-mascherano combo will look horrible if you play keita/iniesta/cesc/xavi/thiago as a DM.
