As absurd as that might sound, there's truth to it. Pressing is what kept our less-than-perfect defense from being exposed for some time.

Thats not the case.

The defence of Puyol, Pique, Abidal and Alves was probably the best in the world and they all knew their roles perfectly.

mou already stated that mata and luiz weren't for sale, so i doubt it'll happen. i've heard the club could sign defender virgini from newels old boys, with the player's agent saying that martino was interested in the 24 year old defender.

Antalyaspor's president confirmed he's talking to PSG about Lugano.

So far PSG rejected his offer.

The turkisk club will make a new offer soon.

Why don't you already get it. Real Madrid, Barça and other elite clubs can spend a lot more than PSG and Monaco because they have a substantially higher income than those clubs. Monaco was in the 2nd highest league in France and PSG now won the league for the first time in decades. Plus the marketing income of PSG and Monaco is a joke compared to what top clubs make. Clubs like PSG just come out of nowhere and spend money they don't really have but comes from the sheikhs and oligarchs. Football for them is just a playground and that's what's really disturbing. They play with their money and know they're gonna have success. The clubs that get chosen by them spend money they didn't earn themselves, it just comes out of their arses and suddenly some no-name club is among the best in the world. The whole thing is about justice and earning your right to be on top and if a club comes out of nowhere, buys players for incredible amounts, increases the prices for players to figures normal clubs can't even dream of, pays disgustingly high salaries and manages to keep world class players because they don't need money at all, then it's just plain unfair to the teams who have to spend wisely and always have a look at their finances and it's also unfair to the clubs on top who have been there for decades and have earned themselves their spot when now some unknown clubs are up there as well.

You might give Soccernomics a read, which shows that the historical development of clubs is largely a matter of being lucky to be in the right location- so not so much "justice" and "earning" as you think. Some of the book here: http://books.google.com/books?id=hO...7#v=onepage&q=Soccernomics industrial&f=false

Which is great, and yet there's still the amazingly relevant difference here that neither Florentino nor Rosell are shelling money from out of their own pockets, but are limited to spend from their respective club's own income. So saying "it's not the same" is not an absurd argument, but the truth.

Pressing is necessary because our players can only defend like "beas", they need to harass and take the ball soon, as soon as they start defendig "normaly" their lack of strength (small size) becomes a problem. you can't expect Andres, Xavi, Pedro, Messi, Neymar or even our FB-s to challenge with their bodies.

Oh, right then. So if Thiago Silva wasn't captain PSG would have totally sold him. Sure.
Who said that? Not me, for sure.

Nope, but it would be surely more possible.

He's a captain there, he feels important and comfortable and despite he would love to go to Barcelona, he'll fulfill his contract with PSG, due to respect for the club.

Not really. Captaincy, comfort or hairstyle are equally irrelevant. The only relevant point is the one similarity: both are in clubs with no need for money that are, therefore not selling one of their starters.
