Last time I read some interview he was aware of being voted the worst signing of La Liga in 2012 but still determined to stay and prove his worth.

So many fine players go to RM for the really huge money, and kill their careers. Sometimes they can get going again after they leave RM, sometimes not.

Man City does this too, to a lessor extent. These two clubs buy quality, but frequently bad fits or just excess numbers of players.

Modric to La Liga and Cazorla to Arsenal illustrate the tremendous difference in the quality of midfield play between the Premiership and La Liga. We are so spoiled watching La Liga midfielders, so many who don't even stand out in this league are actually right up there among the very best in the world.

Hi, its me..
Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has told the club he wants to leave in January for personal reasons.

While the 30-year-old has not handed in a formal transfer request, a crisis in his personal life means he no longer feels he can stay on Tyneside.

RIP newcastle :lol:

Never understood that signing tbh. Not convinced Modric will turn out to be a good signing.

Money could have been better used and they should have gave Sahin a real chance.

Heard the rumours of this, but on ESPN Press pass last night they said Dortmund distanced themselves from him. Good move for both player and club if it happens.

Not confirmed just yet but there's a schedule presser in just over 30 mins.

Newspapers aren't really the best sources for confirming things like transfers cos, well, they're not always accurate. Club announcements and/or the league transfer lists are pretty definitive.

So is it still a loan or outright sale?...Interesting turn of events if true, bolted in 2011 for the bright lights of the capital club and returns to the club where he shined the brightest...Lesson learned?
