Not Negreira related but apparently ahead of a Clasico in 2019 Rubiales told an RFEF employee not to suspend Busquets so that he could play the game.

This has come out under the legal investigation of the Super Cup which Pique helped organise.

Busquets said after a game with Sociedad in 2019 (ended 2-2) that the referee 'didn't want to give a penalty to Barca' after a foul on Pique in the box. Such statements usually carry a 4 game suspension for questioning the referee's integrity.

Haha. Brilliant timing. After the scandal of Nacho, they had to spin some bollocks about a Barca player escaping a ban. Since when do you get a 4 game ban for saying the ref didn't want to give your team a penalty. Never happened in the history of football.

Yet more proof that the Negreira case is being used to commit egregious favours for Madrid, as predicted.

That's actually not correct, it happened extremely recently, Canales was banned for four games for saying that exact thing.
