The summary is that from all of the evidence we have we can likely say Negreira didn't actually have any significant influence on refereeing.

The idea seems to be, both from the prosecution and from many referees interviewed during the time of Negreira, that Negreira sold himself as someone who could influence results and that Barca 'bought' his services believing it would benefit them.

But it didn't in actuality.

However the law makes no prescription between attempting it and successfully doing it, so even if Negreira did not successfully manipulate the results in Barca's favour, the payments being made to him to attempt it already consummate the crime of bribery.

Essentially it is a case over whether we paid thinking we were getting influence. They will not be looking too much at the end result but will try to demonstrate what our intention was and what the nature of the deal between us was like.

blanco rats will smile at your face and behave like that behind your back. They will never change, the short period of peace because of the SL was just a show.

Laporta: "Barça TV has never practiced propaganda like Real Madrid TV. The Referees Committee or the Federation should get involved. Look at their game vs. Almería's, a shame and they are saying that they help Barça. We are very angry."

BIG BREAKING: Mateu Lahoz has admitted before Civil Guardia that there were some occasions in his career where he 'harmed' Barça. The referee, who retired this year, has acknowledged that there have been "situations that are difficult to referee" in which "it has benefited some clubs or others".
For example:
• In the 2014 CdR final between Real Madrid and Barça in Di María's 1-0 goal, Mateu Lahoz acknowledges that there was a suspicion of a possible offside but he gave the goal.
• He later also recalled that he anulled a goal against Messi in the match against Atlético de Madrid in the last match that decided the La Liga that season.
• Lahoz also said that he gave a non-existent penalty to Lucas Digne in Las Palmas. “It was the first penalty called against Barça, and it wasn't, after a long time.”

The Guardia Civil interrogated referees in relation to the Negreira case. The Guardia Civil asked them: "Did Negreira influence your decisions?"... The most common answers by the referees were: "Not at all, Negreira didn't", "0 influence", "Impossible"

Water is wet. Well we lost 2 La Ligas and a CdR but we got to be accused of paying our Castilian masters to robb us.
