I think Alisson deserved the overall award more than VVD. He kept clean sheets in the CL semifinal against Barça, in the final against Tottenham and in the Copa America final.
In all those matches he made tremendous saves.
Alisson really destroyed Messi's year, more or less single- handedly.
MAtS on the other hand should have saved 2 goals at Anfield, the first and the last.
