The board made terrible signings and we simply got unlucky, doesn't mean we should avoid literally the best talent pool in Europe. Many of the best players in the world are French. Young and old. It would be stupid to avoid signing French players.

Many if not most of our recent French players failed hard. Digne was the only one who could leave with some dignity where we actually got some decent money in return.

True, there are a lot of interesting French youngsters, there always are. But none of them are realistic to us. Those who are somewhat realistic even if highly unlikely, like Pogba and Ndombele, are sure to have the same issues as Dembele and Umtiti.
Hence the for a while part.
