Very similar to the first match. Both very cautious and tactically disciplined. Liverpool with the only decent chance(s) but Kun made a goal out of nothing with his individual brilliance.

I think you can see City have better players. Probably only Van Dijk and Salah would get into this City team from Liverpool.

I might take Andy aswell and Laporte isn't even a LB but that aside , why not start with Fabinho or Keita. That midfield he fielded is a bit too conservative.

Thing about City is, not only are they technically good, they can play the pace and intensity game of Liverpool as well. They were pressing Liverpool real hard, especially towards the end, and blazing forward with counters. This Barca can't make that switch, we only have one pace we can play at. It's just that we have a cheat code in Messi that changes everything, but take him out, and this team is pretty mediocre, especially with this simpleton of a coach.

That's what we have to do too man. Not exactly like Liverpool - Atletico, but we have to get close to them in terms of pace, intensity and workrate. The we will see the quality of our players make the difference. Like it happened in 2015, or like it happens in Clasicos where intensity is basically a given for both teams.

I think Liverpool will score a few in the second half. City aren't looking good and their defense line is shaky.

Man if we played Liverpool and found a way to move the ball fast to Dembele or Messi on the wings, they would embarrass Liverpool's fullbacks big time.

They would also walk all over our slow, lethargic midfield.
