Man City need to bring on Gabriel Jesus even though he's been average this season. Need some more movement in the box to open it up now or else Chelsea will just sit back and clear it away.

For all of MC's pressing they are sterile in creating chances through the middle IMO.

Chelsea trolling a relatively harmless possession team, almost like it's 2012. :benitez:

City geting exposed

Why play without pure attacker

Edit: chelsea from the start were trying to absorb pressure from city and hit them on counter, they waited long for good opportunity but it came, just reciepe how to kick out pep from CL

This is only smart when Pep doesn't have a talismanic player available for whom he's willing to break the form. De Bruyne makes a big difference, because of how different he is to the rest. He absorbs 2-3 dudes and makes openings. This approach by Chelsea isn't what it'd normally look like if he was on. Ain't no way they'd be as disciplined in keeping lines if he was there.

Of course not having a striker up top causes similar problems, but it wouldn't be as noticeable.

David Silva has been pathetic so far. Need to take control of the game.

And now he's injured.

Aye, weird how rather poor and evasive he was. Maybe instructed to stretch Chelsea? He needs to get a grip in general or Pep will fancy bringing Isco in.

Is Azpilicueta the best FB defensively in the World? Can't think of someone that's better.
