True but does it mean their belly is full for more? We'll see next season. They have won it all now.n

Shows you hard it is to motivate players who've won multiple CLs, multiple Euros, multiple Ballon D'Or, WC, and multiple league titles.

These lads look semi retired after a single league win.

Staying at the top is the single hardest thing to do in all sports. That defines a true champion.

Modric said it the best. It's the hardest to stay on top, not make it there.

That's the problem with Barca too. Too many trophies. Impossible to motivate.

To be fair, they have been semi-retired since the league was basically won before the covid-break and only needed to get a few points. No CL either by a small virtue of one week. Had the return leg been the subsequent week, it would have been delayed like ours.

So it was just a case of coming back, getting the job done and thats it. The spark and allure of the title win and any vanity tallies were washed away with the virus.

Complete domination in second half by liverpool.. This arsenal team is so in the rear compared to top teams its ridiulous. Also very weird seeing arteta, a pep disciple, just sitting in the back with 10 players lol

Pointless to compare how you should play with City and Arsenal. Arsenal is in a bad place roster wise. Terrible defense.

In their first 27 matches PL matches Liverpool had 26 wins and 1 draw.

There are obviously external factors like the season's pause and being so far ahead in the table, but going from that to not even finishing with over 100 points is a rather substantial collapse.

They have a CL and PL title in 2 years, but no double/treble, no major records in the league like Invincibles (Arsenal) or Centurions (City) and a R16 loss in the CL this season.

If they can avoid complacency next season and pick up another major trophy things may change, but as of right now this Liverpool team will not be mentioned as one of the greatest teams of all-time.

Deservedly so. They don't have a signature CL performance against a top quality opposition. Only a rebuilding Bayern and past it Barcelona.

They don't have legendary players up and down the field like some of the all time great sides too. A few world class players, a top manager, and hardworking roleplayers.

The greatest club teams of all time list is pretty exclusive too, IMO, so no shame they don't make the cut.

Barca 08-11, Barca 14-15, Madrid 16-18, Bayern 12-13, United 98-99, Milan 88-90, Ajax 70-73, Madrid 55-60.

One could make an argument for Pool in late 70s/early 80s as well as Ajax 95-97, also.

They beat City 5-1 on aggregate in 2018 when they were the best team in Europe.
