One where we also do counterattacks... when do we do them nowadays?

We scored the most counter attacking goals in Europe before Christmas but it wasn't the *Barca Way* . Seems like fans are contended to lose with 75% possessions instead of winning with 50-60% or a little less. The reaction after the 4-0 Rayo thrashing was quite apparent

Attacking football with the emphasis on creating goal scoring chances not maintaining possession.

Exactly! We need to let go of this romantic idea of possession for possessions own sake. Possession doesn't win matches if 90% of it is sideways passing just to maintain "control", and after a game where you've had 1 shot on target you say: "we dominated the game but the ball just wouldn't go in, it wasn't meant to be". Like Bayern Munchen talked after the game last night... Possession doesn't equal dominance!

In this way, Tata Martino at least had the right idea when he came to Barcelona. We need to sacrifice some "control" and start to actually play attacking football again. This doesn't mean giving up tiki-taka as our style, far from it - and that's where Martino went wrong. He thought that verticality mainly entails long balls and crosses. Far from it, just watch our games from 2009.

Xmas tree - we have the players for it.

Messi
Iniesta - Cesc
LM - Busi - RM
Alba - CD - Pique/Masch - RB

Not sure who for LM/RM, would be the biggest holes to fill but this might be a very entertaining system to watch.

RM Alves and LM Song put Masch with Pique and Bartra as 3 man defense and Alexis with Messi up front

Tiki-Taka with a plan B + Counter attacking football. We MUST have Tiki-Taka, its the clubs identity and pride.

RFLMAO! are you a madridista?! This is very Mourinho-esque! We definitely don't have the players for that formation NEVER going to happen!

Mourinho-esque? An ultra-attacking formation designed to overload the middle of field with central and attacking midfielders and two attacking full backs is similar to Mourinho parking megabus against everyone in every game?

I'm not even going to dignify an answer about being a Madrid fan...

You can maintain control without 65 % of possession but then you need to be solid defensively, a lot more then barça are at the moment.

Just Messi as forward? Who would score if he's heavily marked, as he usuallly is? It wouldn't work, imo.
