Ousmane Dembélé

As Lothar Matthaus said when Lucas Hernandez joined PSG after being an 80m + medical expenses patient for Bayern, some players have no character. They don't care at all about the club.

It's all about what you can do for them. One way street.

I think Lucas Hernandez's case is different from Dembele's, Lucas Hernandes might have felt that he was somewhat marginalized partially due to his injury and partially due to the fact Bayern had brought in Upamecano, De Ligt and Kim Min-jae (not sure if Bayern only started thinking about getting Kim after Lucas Hernandez expressed the wish to leave), that he probably thought he would not have a lot of minutes. And Lucas Hernandez gave Bayern ample advance notices and time to plan for his replacement. He brought in decent amount of money for Bayern, which they used on getting Kim. One could argue Lucas Hernandez didn't join PSG just for money but for some more legitmate reasons.

Dembele on the other hand is clearly a starter, no issue of getting minutes whatsoever, is getting paid handsomely and he gave us no advance notice whatsoever. Really a nasty way to catch the club by surprise. His departure is as bad as Neymar's. He went there strictly for money. Another snake.

He’s the only forward on the team that can consistently beat his opponent 1 on 1. Since he’s almost guaranteed to be leaving its all down to Abde and Lamine showing us what they got, and hopefully with the money 25m, or 50m if he has a heart to wait until 1st August. We can bring someone in that can fill his boots, doubt it though.

There's plenty of teams that do fine without having elite 1 vs 1 players. We're gonna have to suffer more, but we did it last season and won, and we can do it again.

To be fair this generation of footballers don't give a f**k about loyalty. They'll go to however can give them the best wages, sporting project/play time, and PR.

Also will depend if Raphinha is gonna up his level from last season or not. He did fine when Dembele was injured and was involved in many goals we scored back then. And also if we can bring in Roque. Maybe try 2 striker systems with Lewandowski and Roque. We have options.

If the midfield starts scoring more goals we should be fine.
An issue is the erratic form of our forwards.
