Neymar Jr.

Coutinho sucks and Dembele has yet to show enough.

The best thing they can do is surround Messi with top players while he's still got it instead of wondering what could've been 5 years later. Neymar is a good move.

But injury prone, inconsistent diva is right move

The transfer window isnt open yet and i am already sick of it. We would help psg more than hurt them by buying this expensive injury prone troublemaker. We would solve their ffp problems and help them to get rid of this guy who never plays because he is always injured and is also a troublemaker.

On top of that:

People have such short memories on here ffssss.

This guy is a total SCUMBAG.

he's not inconsistent at all and injury prone is an exaggeration, it's not like he has some recurring injury. he's just been unlucky.

two right metatarsal fractures in back-to-back seasons is a recurring injury and frightening for someone in their late 20s.

this is not like a hamstring injury that's caused by misdiagnosis (dembele's first injury) or managers rushing back players prematurely because they need said player to save their season (dembele vs lyon)

and on top of that he just RUPTURED the ligaments in his right ankle in the last friendly he played. that's not him being "unlucky", there's a clear problem with his right foot that has sprung about as soon as he hit his late 20s

the club would foolish to buy him back for anything more than 100m when recent history has shown that his season ends once the ucl knockout stages begin

You are genuinely an idiot.

Thank you for saving me from writing another wall of text explaining why buying Neymar would be a terribly bad idea and the epitome of what is wrong with the current useless board. Even more so if it meant the sale of Dembélé (which will happen) and Griezmann joining as well in this upcoming transfer window.
I touched on some of the few reasons in post 2252 but it seems that some football fans never learn and have a hard time looking past names when names alone don't win you any titles. On the other hand TEAMS that are implementing a clear sporting project and philosophy initiated by a competent, long-term thinking and shrewd board tend to do just that. With our own club (in the past) being the best example of that. In particular if that same board understands the importance of the managerial position and don't just rely on yes-men and "puppets" like Valverde who lets the old guard do as they please. Now the same old guard is begging the club to buy Neymar. Screw any sporting project, we want our boyfriend back, lol. Great stuff.

It s simple. If the board is stupid enough to get this guy for 2 players and money, it will push Barca in down spiral for the next few years.

He will not magically grow up here and become outstanding pro. He will continue with his life stile and attitude and we will have to bear with his capriciousness and greed every transfer window.

But, next time, there will not be a club like PSG willing to buy him for a ridiculous amount. We will just be fucked.

We have no sporting project though .. we have frightened and inept Valverde and Rakitic, Suarez and Roberto are nailed on starters .
I don’t think those three would even make the benches of Liverpool or ManCity just to pick two ..

I don't think we will be this stupid surely not.
You will be surprised.

There were rumors that people within the board wanted him back for the last couple of years and then you got the guys in the Lockerroom who want their good friend back as they think we can win the CL again due to that reason.

But the motives are different. One wants him back due to the sheer marketability of him and the others want him back as they truly think having him back will somehow fix our problems.

Players are just going to kick him more and more as well knowing his foot isn't right. When he was younger he could withstand it. You could see at the World Cup how bad his pain threshhold has got. He's become a total sissy boy.

The fact he's had a broken back as well adds to the cumulative effect as he gets older. We sold him at the right time but haven't moved on because Valverde hasn't been able to get Coutinho or Dembele to work.

If we'd just signed Hazard to replace Neymar then it'd be completely redundant because he wouldn't even be needed.

The reality is the player peaked at Barcelona. He isn't going to get any better.

All well and good but one of them is Luis fucking Suarez who is a pale shadow of the player he was and way past his prime.

Neymar peaked 2-3 years ago and the injuries are stacking up.

If we want to surround Messi with top players then that's what Griezmann signing is meant to be for and De Jong.

Surround Messi with top players rather than his Whats App mates. We should have gone for Hazard and Jovic and fucked Suarez off.

Tbh they are probably more interested in bringing him back for the marketability potential than the sporting.

Aside from Messi who is in his final years at the top, Barca doesn't have that many marketable giants.
