Neymar Jr. - v5

Horatio was right though. Ronaldo's Total Score distorted the big picture as the matrix gave too much weight to the Attack Score so here is a more accurate compartmentalization per 90 min. tranches ->

Here's the link if you guys wanna enter your own parameters or change players. It's a cool tool :)

No one is justifying the bottle being thrown, Valenica condemned it straight away. The fact is Neymar provoked them after a last minute winner, he has no excuse and as a result put himself and his team-mates in danger. There is no way on earth his behaviour can be condoned or some pre-match attack you claim by Valencia fans meted out mean that he should escape disciplinary action. It just shows how stupid he is for further riling fans when he already knows they can be quick to lash out.

The entire spanish press is justifying the bottle being thrown by leaving out critical facts, namely the players being insulted by these fans beforehand, in order to reframe their behaviour as an extreme yet 'human' reaction to being told to 'take it up the ass'.

Then there's Javier Tebas dropping the Barca players = divers cliché with his comments insinuating that Barca players are play-actors who shouldn't make such a fuss about having bottles thrown at them. His edgy remark: 'It looked like a game of ten-pin bowling' implies that the involved Barca players are wusses who drop to the floor at the slightest impact. His other comment, 'perhaps they fell because they felt the water' is meant to imply that the involved players are sissies. Not only does he justify the violence, he also humiliates the victim of the violence by implying he's not manly enough to take a bottle to his face. I have no words for this. And then he proceeded by somehow bringing 'the children who are watching' into this in a transparent attempt to take the moral high ground. Absolutely shameless, absolutely disgusting.

And then we have Valencia sporting director Suso Garcia Pitarch claiming: "All violent acts are condemnable. It's as condemnable to throw a bottle, which is something that should never be done and which the club will take the appropriate measures, just as Neymar provoking our fans, who after having to withstand deplorable officiating, then suffered a penalty in the last minute. We also have to evaluate the behaviour of certain Barcelona players, especially that of Neymar"
I don't even know where to start with this. Not only does he relativize and therefore justify the violence but actually makes further excuses for his fans who in his opinion were in righteous indignation over the the ref. So, according to him, bad decisions by the ref justifies throwing a bottle in the face of a player.

Neymar's behaviour was stupid. The behaviour of the other two and the spanish press is malicious.

EDIT: Forgot the best part: http://www.espnfc.com/valencia/stor...wer-implies-barcelona-players-feigned-contact

The bottle thrower accuses the players of feigning contact, but is really, really, really, very deeply, completely sincerely sorry... probably for not hitting them for realz in his book. Fuck this guy. Fuck their president and their fans. Fuck Tebas. Fuck the press.

Valencia president forgot to mention that his own fans were insulting as well, otherwise he's on point.

Neymar got a bottle to the face for what he did. Now it's their turn to suffer consequences.

Honestly, given the extraordinary football circumstances of that game, this isn't particularly worrying. Tebas' comments are much, much worse but it's always been clear that he's a worthless piece of shit.

Have people forgotten the same happened last year at the Mestalla as well? Messi was hit by a bottle that time.

Seriously, fuck Valencia. Deluded fans and a pathetically ran club.

Last time was worse because the game didn't climax like this. But it'd be nice for punishment to be harsher due to recidivism...

If you start poking an already irate Tiger, don't act all surprised and righteous when it mauls you. What is wrong with Valenica pointing out Neymar provoked their fans and the ref decisions that led to them already being irate?? What is wrong with pointing out the theatrical and pathetic way Suarez reacted as if he'd been shot? At least Messi doesn't go to ground like a cry baby, he even tries to drag Neymar to his feet at one point.

Ballon d'or will go to the lowest rated player on that matrix because he is popular overrated or whatever

Or because he won the 2 biggest trophies in the last season, lol.

Neymar plays in a team who creates the highest amount of passes in the world, of course that he will have a high number of passes, lol.
Of course that he has more key passes than CR7 or Griez who play in different setups.

Nothing specially wrong with that except if it's used as an excuse or to downplay the gravity of the crowd's attack. It's simple, there should be a zero tolerance for objects thrown on the field. If a plastic bottle is justified today, this sends the wrong message to every1 and specially headbangers with low impulse control :banghead: who might load up with more dangerous ammo next time...

They're making excuses for what's indefensible behaviour and blame the victim. Conveniently leaving out the fact that the players were provoked and insulted before the match even started is deliberately misleading, as I already explained. This wasn't the first time as well this happened there. Is it really so difficult for club representatives to just say sorry and give the perpetrator a stadium ban for a few matches or something ? Apparently it is, or Garcia Pitarch simply doesn't want to.

Valencia will definitely punish the perpartrator but to say that they are not allowed to condemn the provocative behaviour of Neymar that clearly did lead to the bottle being thrown is a joke. You are saying they can only do that if they acknowledge there was trouble from Valencia fans pre-match as if they have been cross examined about it and are lying? Grow up guys.
