Constantly having to defend 1v1 against Vinicius is no simple task. Any full back would struggle there.

I agree. Though Imo the goal wasn't even his fault. Braithwwaite switched off and didn't track the run. Semedo was decent enough, way more of an outlet than Alba for example, who didn't even have a winger to worry about.

Because they didn't have any winger on the other side. Semedo played relatively well. At least better than most of our other players.
