Messi's Records - Counting

When this season is over, Messi will pretty much hold every scoring record on hand in la liga, there are only a few of them left for him until he will have complete monopoly on la liga scoring records.

He now has the following la liga records in his possession:

Most goals scored in one season
Most goals scored in one season home
Most goals scored in one season away
Most rounds scoring in one season home
Most rounds scoring in one season away
Most consecutive rounds scoring
Most consecutive rounds scoring away
Most hat-tricks scored in one season

And the records that he will get before the end of this season

Most rounds scoring in one season (currently at 27 rounds with 4 games left to play) *record is 27 rounds held by Ronaldo
Most goals scored i la liga away (currently at 97 with 2 games left to play) *record 99 held by Hugo Sanchez

Next season he will most probably get two other records

Most goals scored i la liga (currently at 215) *record 251 held by Zarra
Most hat-tricks scored i la liga (currently at 16) *record held by Zarra and Di Stefano, both 22 hat-tricks

The last remaining elusive records that Messi will take are still 2-3 seasons away

Most goals scored in la liga home (currently at 118) *record 176 held by Zarra
Most rounds scoring in la liga (currently at 133 games) *record 186 held by Raul Gonzalez Blanco
Most rounds scoring in la liga home (currently at 71 games) *record 111 held by Raul Gonzalez Blanco
Most rounds scoring in la liga away (currently at 62 games) *record 78 held by Hugo Sanchez

The hardest of them all

Most consecutive rounds scoring home (currently at 9) *record 18 held by Mariano Martín (he scored a combined 37 goals), this is also FC Barcelona club record. Over a single season (1942-43) he scored in 12 consecutive games.

And after that there is basically not one single scoring record left for Messi :tito:

Most rounds scoring in la liga, this one dunno but Messi is somewhere around 100 games and Raul has the record with somewhere over 180, the same season he will also hold Most rounds scoring in la liga both at home ground and away grounds

And after that there is basically not one single scoring record left for Messi :tito:

I think I love you... I'm looking forward to him also matching Ronaldos consecutive seasons with 40 plus goals, in fact it would be great if he does 50 in consecutive seasons. I'm sure there could be other consecutive season records too for him to break such as scoring 30 goals in 5 seasons in a row, I would need to dig deep to find those sort of records.

consecutie 10+ goals in la liga is held by César Rodríguez with 12.
consecutie 20+ goals in la liga is held by Ferenc Puskás with 6
consecutie 30+ goals in la liga is held by Lionel Messi with 4
consecutie 40+ goals in la liga is held by Cristiano Ronaldo with 2
consecutie 50+ goals in la liga is held by Lionel Messi with 1

Well, if Barcelona win this year then Messi will have 6 titles, at the same age (26) Gento had 4. To win 6 more Messi will probably need 10 more seasons so maybe if he stick around until he is 36-37. Gento Played for Real until he was 37 winning his last league at 35. Between 27 and 35 Gento won the league all but one season, that will be impossible for Messi because today the competition is so much tougher. But hey, the European top league record will be held by Giggs with 13 because Man United will win this year.

If he scores against Celta Vigo he'll match Ronaldo's record of scoring against every other team in La Liga in one season.

Messi has 215 league goals and is 36 away from reaching Telmo Zarra's record of 251 league goals. Amazing to think that if he continues the way he is playing, it could be done next season.
