He was recently asked if he would retire as Sociedad player, and he said it isn't in his hands because Sociedad might not want him anymore.

It feels he is just too comfortable and loyal there, also I think he isn't going to sign for Liga team if he has alternative. Arsenal are most likely destination.

I have no idea how good he is though, never impressed me but it is a position that is tough to evaluate if you watch a player sporadically when he faces us or RM

Whenever I have watched him I just feel like something about him is off/missing.
Tough to explain what though. CDM might be the toughest position to evaluate in general.
