In fact, City is getting done because they actually cooked their books better than PSG.

PSG was very direct and upfront with the QTA massive contract, nothing hidden. Then it is up to UEFA to assess the fair value.

What UEFA is banning City for is masquerading the owners funneling the funds through other parties. Football Leaks saying that Eithad for example only paid 6 or 8M€ of the sponsorship while the rest of the money was paid by the Sheik.

Basically, they are getting done for "lying" to UEFA. While PSG QTA value is up for debate, it was never hidden.

So, City did too good of a job but has been exposed. Qatar went with a non elaborated approach.

So far, UEFA has not really been successful at enforcing their ban on high profile and without money issue clubs. All the teams banned have been teams from East Europe or Turkey teams with non payment of their players, non fullfilment of their obligations. Only Milan got banned and they were actually willing to skip Europa League anyway. This will be a big test for FFP.

UEFA FFP has nothing to do with English FA though.

They would have to be found guilty to have breached the rules set by the British Football Association for that to happen.
