We shouldn't move him. We should play him. He is a very good player who showed quality in almost every meaningful game he played last season. He could be our Lucas Vazquez only better. Near ideal squad player. Works hard, is skilled and doesn't make a bad atmosphere for not playing much, even though the manager treated him unfairly.

Most importantly, he has impacted games from the bench vs serious teams like Inter and Atletico and Valencia.

We should loan him. He can be a good contributor off the bench, but not with Valverde here IMO, that's the problem.

Once Valverde settles on his starting XI he rarely rotates. So for example if he settles on Greizmann--Suare--Messi as a front three the next options Dembele/Malcolm would rarely get game time.

Seeing that Malcolm is behind Dembele in the pecking order he would be in the stands for most of the season.

Agreed.

At present day, he won't get any chance. But situation might be different in 1-2 years.

We should either loan him for 2 years , or sell with a buy back clause.

Gomes loan worked out ideal. It went from it looked like we would have to pay someone to take him after 17-18 to getting a decent fee and his wages off the books.

I think the issue is we will want to cash now but otherwise I'd be fine to loan him to a league where he has a good chance of excelling (not epl or la liga, not sure about him in Bundesliga)
