Luis Suárez

Kluivert might turn out good, but hes a winger, not a center tank.
Greizmann is not a center tank either.
Infact, theres no better center tank than Suarez available.

You don't have to have a 'centre tank'. Messi, Griezmann, Coutinho and Dembele would be enough in attack with a plan B on the bench. Suarez offers very little in reality. He doesn't offer much these days than even Alcacer wouldn't.

Barca doesn't have infinite money to be buying Coutinho level stars or Dembele type fees (the Neymar money was a one off and he was meant to be the future of the club). We can afford maybe one Griezmann a year but then other players age in the meantime or need replacing. Barca should always be looking for the next star before their fees explode.

True to some extent. But it says how good Alcacer has been now. And we shouldn't count on Dembele yet. He needs 3 more years to become a proper world class player as Asensio, Correa and Dybala.

But it says how good Alcacer has been now.

Against Sevilla Alcacer actually had 1 1/2 touches.
Once gave away the ball close to the line and the second (the half one) happened right before Suarez's goal, when he jumped up to reach the ball but couldn't actually.
Almost similar to his last appearance, when he was completely transparent.

All Suarez does most of the game is give the ball away with a terrible touch, get called offside all game, falls over and clumsily make unnecessary fouls and then blame the ref for it. He's a shadow of the player he was at Liverpool where he was even better than Salah has been in his last season there.

What he can do is link well with Messi at times and get in the right position to score (but also misses a lot of sitters).

Alcacer is nowhere near good enough but he doesn't offer much less than that.

Common man, think you are selling him short. Not only is he one of the greatest strikers we ever had, he is also a great bloke and beloved by other players. His spirit and love for Barca are top too.

Suarez has turned into Alexis Sanchez. Minnow bashing in La Liga with the odd goal against top sides, but doing fuck all in the Champions League.

More than 1000 minutes in the CL without a goal. Taste on that. Shouldn’t even be possible.

Dry spell is over. Hurray!
