This is why football can be so misleading since the result influences how people think about a particular game.

We didn't play a very good game against PSG, it was a game where everything that could have gone wrong for PSG did, including their disinterest of actually playing football. We didn't create 2 good chances in the entire game.

First goal, not a chance but a huge mistake by the defense
Second goal, again not a chance, awful own goal
Third goal, a penalty
Fourth, a free kick
Fifth, a penalty
And finally, a cross when everyone was in the box, great ball by Neymar.

When you couple that with missing Neymar, today's result is not really surprising. We can't create chances unless one of the front three makes a solo run/move. Even in the PSG game the midfield did next to nothing creating chances. Being dependent on the front three is great when they are all firing on all cylinders like in 2015 but Messi is not in a good form at all which leaves us in no man's land especially when party boy is ''injured''.

And what about the 5-0 win against Celta; the 6-1 win against Gijon and the 1-2 win against ATM away ? 3-4-3 solved a lot of problems, this loss is on Lucho and his stupid turn-overs. Play with the best team you can, secure the result and then make changes. How hard is it for him to understand ?

We also missed Umtiti tiday: no way we had conceded the second goal with Umtiti defending instead of Alba.
Against Real Madrid we really need to defend with our 3 tall CB's, Mathieu, Piqué and Umtiti. Then Mascherano and Busquets as defensive midfielders. Sergio Ramos seems to score his headers at will, nobody so far has found a way to stop him. That's the difference between RM and Barça: whenever they need a goal they can score headers. And it helps of course when the referee hands a red card to the opposition ...

I think that the first half was pretty decent, We pushed them back, had a control but unfortunately they scored from set piece, due to some individual mistakes. But yeah, the second half was horrendous, really don not understand what happened after levelling the score. Balls lost again, no chances created (only after 85th minute) and no real penetration. Tiredness? Mental tiredness? Could be. The worst is that Denis, and Gomes did not take their chances, meaning scoring and establishing themseleves once again. Pity.

Sobering defeat.

No, it is not Neymar's fault when the team loses while he is hurt. Nor Rafinha.

Barca's depth has not come through this year. They have occasionally, but nowhere near often enough to win La Liga. This is the type of game when the rotation players have to show the energy, that is why they are on the roster. None of the 5 who started this game, who did not start the PSG game, were good enough. Don't blame the tired players who played big minutes vs. PSG.

You're welcome
I don't blame Lucho for not having Neymar on the bench. I mean....at what point can you give a player an extra day to rest for his immense workrate if you can't even against Deportivo? They are battling relegation ffs.

It's his fault. Playing away to Depor who haven't lost under their new manager, he started both Gomes and Turan.
It's clear Neymar would have played the second half had he been on the bench. Unless you think his body broke down after the PSG game for some reason.

Yeah, nothing wrong with resting but he needed to be on the bench (if he wasn't injured).

Suarez is 5 years Neymar senior, works hardest and still played and hustled like ever.
