He’s at an age where most go to retirement leagues so I don’t see the big deal or blame him one bit.

In recent times I can only really think of Ronaldo and Modric as outfield players who had prominent roles at 36/37.

Even the forum favourite and current Balon D’or winner Benzema buggered off to the desert.

What did PSG do from 2011 to 2020? Get knocked out of the Champions League pretty early, and they bottled a 4 goal lead against us. PSG, especially the PSG of this year, was pretty bad. They were playing a 37-year-old Ramos and a bunch of teenagers against Bayern. Messi and Mbappe weren't really fit for the first leg. Neymar was out injured in the 2nd leg. And Messi won 3 trophies with PSG. He was also their best player this season despite what the French media say.

He was such a good player PSG fans booed him off the pitch and were doing cartwheels he's finally leaving
President Laporta understood and respected Messi's decision to want to compete in a league with fewer demands, further away from the spotlight and the pressure he has been subject to in recent years.
