Lautaro Martinez

For the nth time Haaland wanted to go to Dortmund to develop. Also Haaland still has alot of rough edges and currently wouldn't suit this team. Technically he still isn't the finished product. Very good prospect but let's see how he pans out.

This team has more "rough edges" than Haaland to put it mildly. Buy him and build a new squad suited for the modern era that can play crosses, counter, run and play with physicality.

I can't see Barca playing that way unless there are no trophies for a while. The playing style you have described is how LFC play. Barca are a club with their own philosophy of how football should be played. It's why xavi is most likely to be the next coach

We have always been a club that have liked to play attacking football, but this notion that we have to pass the ball into the net every time with 1000 passes per match and 85% possession has only become popularized since the arrival and success of Pep.

Problem is you can only win with that style if you have once in a lifetime players like prime Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Alves all operating at their peak levels.

In fact once Xavi alone started declining in 2012 we could not maintain that style. Lost the league to Madrid and were knocked out by Chelsea in the CL. Following year embarrassed by Bayern in the CL. Year after that that lost the league to Atletico and were knocked out by them in the CL.

Only when Lucho came in and introduced a physical runner in Rakitic into the lineup and tweaked our style to release the ball quicker and go for throat more often did we find success in Europe again.

I'm not saying I'm against playing a different style, I just can't see Barca playing that way. Playing on the counter, with physical players and crossing the ball. We'll need to go after a completely different profile of players than we have for the past 10+ years

Just please don't do it. He's incredibly overrated and most importantly we already have a much better player who plays the same position in Griezmann.

If reports are true that we're offering 70m + Firpo it means we have those 70m to spend. Send another offer to Napoli instead: 35m+Firpo+Todibo/Umtiti for Koulibaly. We need a WC CB much more. Then you have the other half of the 70m (35m) for Alaba.

Barca are monitoring the situation of Gabriel Jesus very closely and might make an offer if the Lautaro Martinez deal does not go through. [sport]

Very unlikely but would you rather have 111m Lautaro or a top 10 striker?

If City still fancy Roberto would take a swap of them or even a bit of cash to sweeten it.

Whats up with the Jesus hype? Hes okay, but at best another "Lautaro". Is it because he had a good game vs Madrid?

I knew that this will happen.

No one sane will buy Jesus and he can't play in any top club.
Except:
1. in Pep's club
2. and in the club who is chasing Pep's shadows

Btw, if we are after Lautaro and Jesus, it is quite clear what kind of strikers we are looking for.
Ligher, mobile, link-up attackers.

Our board don't like a classical no9.
As expected.

Where did you get the idea that he can only play in Pep's team? What nonsense?

Jesus is a versatile monster. He is able to play every position in the attack line. This is a guy who has an excellent technical aresenal, speed, he is very smart tactically, he does a huge amount of work without the ball and knows how to apply pressure correctly.

Its main problem is implementation. As soon as this kinder tweaks his scope, he will be in the top three forwards in the world.
