Rakitic is four years older, has played in the Swiss league and has spent a fair chunk of his career at AM and at Sevilla at lease was on pens.

Would expect him to have more goals.

Modric is essentially the workrate CM on madrid. Doing all the dirty work with Casimero.

Rakitic, never had to do all this dirty work at Sevilla. However, coming to barcelona, he has done so much dog work for the team.

Everything is about balance and there's always going to have to be a guy that does dog work and put aside his own goals for the team.
