Lovely bit of skill from Jozy, whatever happened to him anyway?
something that happens to alot of young talents, made couple of bad decision at a very young age. He's just 22 and has alot of potential in terms of being big, strong, quick, athletic and good technique. If he went to a team that knows how to develop young players with raw talent, he would be a beast now. Instead he wasted few years with wrong clubs and is building his career back. holland is great place for young talents to develop and reach the next level. I think in 18-24 months he will move to either Germany or England

He's not performing well for the MNT for some reason. Klinsmann's 4-2-3-1 doesn't fit him for some reason. However, it fits Herculez Gomez and the other US striker just fine. WEIRD AMIRITE

Very frustrating. It's obvious that he not only has the talent, but is in great form right now. For some reason the US coaches can just never find a way to utilize his strengths.

I'm sure his current form will get him called up again...unless he burned some bridges in the past

Do you know where Cazorla played at that age? ;)

He was dropped from the US MNT lol. It's understandable though as he doesn't fit Klinsmann's squad. Would be nicer though if they'd actually have a talk about what he expects of Altidore though as obviously Altidore has no idea what should be for the team, but no one can blame Altidore for that.

Interesting insight into Altidore & the NT...Liked the things he had to say, showing the right attitude at least - although it sounded like that wasn't necessarily the case before

He didn't get called up :(

Yeah... that's Klinnsman being an idiot. It's the coach's job to figure out how to work with the players he has... and Altidore is a talent, period. No reason he shouldn't be able to adapt to Altidore's strengths. Altidore + Dempsey up front should definitely be the pair, Gomez is perfect as a sub with his pace at the end of the match.

Edit: And seriously, Alan Gordon? Seriously? Pfft. :shakeshead:

Read the linked article, even Jozy didn't have much to complain about in not being selected - sounds like he had some maturity issues to sort out
