Bad news but on the other hand it's good for him to get a bit of a breather, meaning he will be fresh for the second half of the season. Hopefully he's fit enough to face Real Madrid, as he always does well against them, that of course, goes for Leo as well.

When one player gets fit, another gets injured...

I still have hopes to see Messi fit for El Classico.

Playing Munir up front and Roberto in midfield is better than taking Masch and Roberto both out of their regular positions

This forum and it's preoccupation with natural positions whatever those are

Let's weigh things here
Busquets out of position? busquets has played CM a number of times these past two seasons. This season he has done very well there.
last season he changed things for us in el classico. we started with Masche rakitic iniesta and were constantly overrun in midfield in the first half. but things changed when busquets came replaced Rakitic and helped masche and iniesta stabilize the midfield. only then we started creating chances and Messi who was subdued for most of the first half came to life. You can replay the game or watch the highlights and they will all show that. Busquets is better at CM than Roberto, against teams of Real Madrid's calibre.

Sergi Roberto's so called natural position is the one in which he failed to thrive for years now. he came back to life when he started playing as RB. that is where he gained his confidence, and this helped him perform better in midfield albeit none of that was against a decent team. As a matter of fact the time when he played CM against a better opposition in the supercup, he was exposed. But as a RB vs atletico, he surely thrived.
I believe Sergi's best position is on the right side of the pitch. And that is where he can help relieve Alves who is underperforming. I believe also that Sergi is better than Munir at RW, and Sergi/Alves combo is better than Alves/Munir combo which IMO is horrible (one player out of form, one inexperienced) both facing a top 3 team in the world. Bad idea IMO

Masche is a CB/DM and he can play both positions very well. he played there vs City last season and did pretty well, he struggled on his own there vs Real Madrid but once Busi came on, he was firing again

And you lots act as if Busquets and Masche have never been played both at once in midfield

And we don't have messi for el classico, that means we have lost a major creative force. Replacing him with Munir diminishes our creativity and finishing (especially this cause we are going to face the most in form GK in la liga) departments. But playing a midfield based formation atleast helps us add more tenacity and drive to fight against a counter attacking midfield.

May be a 4-3-3 is not a good idea to some but atleast a 4-4-2 should do, with Suarez and Neymar upfront.

IMO Munir/Sandro have no business playing el classico,

and by the way
Madrid will have no problem tearing this line up apart:
Busi
Roberto.....................Iniesta
Munir.........Suarez..........Neymar

and they won't even need Marcelo to accomplish this.
The least we can do is take Munir off, solidify our midfield by adding Masche, give busquets freedom, and provide all the necessary conditions for Neymar and Suarez to thrive.

I even think Luis Enrique doesn't trust Munir/Sandro to start for el classico and his lineup vs BATE was experimental trying to see how he could use 4 midfielders instead of just three

Something like a 4-1-3-2 should be interesting too

I know u have no faith in Munir but he has shown at least enough to be given the benefit of a doubt. Plus we don't have Ivan so we'll need to play a Busi-Iniesta-Roberto midfield because a Busi-Masch double pivot will not work especially against RM.

You don't give players the benefit of the doubt in el classico. The doubt should not be there in the first place.

Busi-Masche will not work? You psychic or something. The last time that combo played in el classico, we were excellent.
And i would trust Arsenal to overrun a midfield of Busi-Iniesta-Roberto let alone Real Madrid, especially if the front three has Munir in it and at RB you have this dysfunctional Alves
