Xavi's shot would have been on target and by the rules if a shot is going inside and takes a deflection and becomes a goal, it counts on the player who took the shot.
Penaldo's free kick was going outside of the post and the defender deflected it in the net, it shouldnt count as his goal but RM own the league, they make the rules.

Shocking statistics tbf. Our top goalscorer has more than 4 times more goals than our second best goalscorer. Compare that with Real Madrid:
Ronaldo: 53
Benzema: 29
Higuain: 25
Even worse if we take La Liga only. Messi is our only player who got more than 10 goals there. Without Messi we would be midtable this season. Without Ronaldo Real Madrid would still walk La Liga (and get past CSKA and APOEL in the CL).

Villa has been out since the start of the season and Pedro has been out of form (not really a good excuse though). And Alexis is still adapting..
Messi has been phenomenal in making assists and I agree that we'd be scoring even more had we had an in-form wing-forward to bang those away.

If we had Villa for the whole season , things would have been different . But without Villa-alike striker up front and having Pedro and alexis then it makes me think we need a good striker. But hell no, no more investments on strikers at the moment.
