I won't be sure about that ,La Masia is still competitive with a lot of talent .thing is they are producing more of many squad players than star players
Barca B in general isn't a good reflection of La Masia .that said being in relegation zone in Segunda B isn't promising

No it isn't and this knee jerk reaction is depressing. Check the juvenil, cadet and infantil teams. At the end of the day, no one can really expect that a constant belt of world class players will come out. There will be peaks and troughs as with everything in life

What is so special about the other lower levels ? remember that we had a Juvenile A team that won the treble, where are they today ?

Are you serious? It's not all about winning things it's about development. You sound like a fanboy. Have they won something if not, must be useless.

Winning means nothing in youth level ,we won a lot while producing average players and we weren't winning much when we produced the best players

My point is La Masia is nothing special from other youth systems across Europe We had our golden generation and that was it. I can name at least ten players produced by Lyon Academy in the past 6 years who are doing very well in top flight leagues across Europe.

Almost everyone in the planet can point to the decline of La Masia and that we don't have golden generations anymore
That doesn't mean La Masia won't produce superstars in the future.

Players like Xavi, Iniesta & Messi were part of terrible youth/B teams, and they still became superstars. Performance of the entire team doesn't mean all players are shit. It means the density of good/talented players is not as high as in previous years. Which is certainly true. I could still see plenty of players of this team become great.

Messi was part of a great youth team, at least until he was 16, with Pique, Victor Vazquez (who was said to be more talented than Messi) and Cesc. After Cadet A/Juvenil B it was just Vazquez and Messi, but Messi was promoted to Barça B then.
