Ernesto Valverde

Damn Ernesto Maestro at Bayern would be terrific, this guy made la liga when we were the strongest league in the world to a one horse league, only god knows what he will do with Bundesliga! As the main goal scorer in your team, you can expect around 30-40% more goals with EV, that mean Kane would easily break Lewa's record!

Was on his way to 3 in a row in the league, until Barca decided to be retarded, and replaced him with some dude from Betis.

true because ppl thought this team was able to win the cl lol

there is a reason why real madrid fans celebrated like a ucl win when EV was fired...

since EV we've never reached semi final again

Valverde overachieves with deficient squads, Lucho underdelivers with elite ones.

Can see why Bayern are interested in him.
I was anti-EV for a long time but on reflection, think he'd of done a far better job without the amigos cucking him and the politics. Would 100% have him over Xavi.

the current situation in barca would suit him better than the one he got. a team of mostly average but young players who have won nothing. at least in defense we probably would be better. But attacking wise, we would again resort to individual actions and we don't have the personel anymore.
all in all, would probably be better than Xavi.

Ironically, Xavi was suited for the 2017 team more than the current one.
Team of veterans who understand the game and knows how to get pragmatic wins, while he is good with the politics of the club and is very supported by local fans.

Valverde would have just done exactly what he did while here.

Win a league title or two and be trash in the CL.

So basically not much different from Xavi.

Hard pass

It was obvious that pretty early on in his tenure here his relationship with the group had fallen into a sort of mutually tolerable impasse. He correctly sensed that the locker room presence of certain senior players meant that there was a limit to how hard he could push things without everything falling apart. And so pragmatically, he found this balance and kept churning out mediocre football with passable results.

A different personality would have thought, fuck it, if it breaks then let it break. Which, in hindsight, probably would have been better for the club long term.

Chemistry is hard to predict. I wanted him out back then because things were going nowhere, but I don't find it impossible that he could do interesting things with the current group.

Honestly, i feel he would massively improve our game play but the real question is do we deserve him after the way we treated him after liverpool game? 🤔
He would maybe improve our results, but definitely not our game play. Scoring the first goal and defending all game the one goal lead? No thank you, don't need that again. And he has absolutely zero leading skills. I remember the documentary, when we lost 4-0 in Liverpool. Halftime score was 1-0, Alba was already crying and this guy squatted like over a shitting hole and drew tactics on the whiteboard, while the team was frightened like chicken.
He didn't understand they needed a motivation boost in that moment. All he needed to do was playing some motivation music, hold a good speech and let the team fight the 2nd half. Instead he drew tactics no one listened to and we lost 4-0. He doesn't have the mentality to coach a top team, no matter how good he tactically is.

Is that why the natural leaders of the team Messi , Pique, Busquets etc all respected him?

The only time Messi ever did a press conference after a defeat for Barca was to defend EV and say the players were completely at fault not the coach.

Natural leaders like Xavi and Koeman also struggled with return legs…

Almost like it’s the players who need to take responsibility, what do you want Valverde to say? Alba stop crying?
