Deal finalized according to Romano.
He signed for Bayern on a cut-price, while the rest of Europe is sleeping...
zzzzzz

Most likely agreed to join them last summer. Was a lot of speculation then it all went dead and announced he was staying.

Doubt anyone who would have wanted him was sleeping just more likely he was going to Bayern.

Liverpool and Chelsea all reportedly approached him, according to his agent but in the end he chose Bayern.

He has his injuries issues (several knee injuries), let's see how he will turn out for them.

42.5ME is plenty for him (especially post Corona).

For a 22yr old CB poised to be the next big thing for the next decade, no it's not plenty..
Especially given that similar profiles like Kounde (who is not as good IMO) are priced at 80m

Just realized that Bayern will have 6 CBs (or players who can play CB) next season: Suele, Boateng, Pavard, Hernandez, Nianzou and Upamecano... four of them are French.

Boateng might leave, his contract runs out at the end of the year and he has not signed a new one. Pavard is the only rightback, Nianzou has been injured since he joined and Suele could get sold.
Hernandez idk, he's Bayerns best defender but somehow not a favourite of Flick. There's a chance he might ask for a move if he cannot get enough gametime.

Bayern always do tap up players the year before so they force their currebt clubs to let them go cheap to them.

If Bubdesliga clubs ever get ambition they collectively boycot Bayern.
Either resign- go abroad or sit in the stands for a year.
Otherwise they will never catch up to Bayern.

Due to inferior mindset towards Bayern they get screwed over.
Happened to Schalke, Dortmund, now Leipzig and whoever.
Made the Bundesliga boring as hell.

So true. Dortmund is fighting it now but they keep selling the best players, so not much competition vs Bayern.

How is "resigning", "sitting in the stands" or "going abroad" not enacting an inferior mindset?
"Oh no, this competition is to tough urrgh. Maybe if I just sit on the floor and cry very loud, I will get my way."
Imagine earning 5m per year to boycott work because "it's so tough and unfair" while some high school teacher works 2 jobs to barely make ends meet.

Agreed that Bundesliga is boring as hell but to be honest, there is not much Bundesliga clubs can do just like there is not much other La Liga clubs can do when we and Real Madrid (and to a lesser degree, Atletico) come knocking. The only difference is Spain has two (or three) clubs sitting on top whereas Germany has just one.

That is a lot of difference mate.

Not much different in terms of smaller teams can't just say no to or boycott the bigger teams. That is true in every league.

When was the last time a La Liga or an EPL smaller team ship a player overseas when one of the bigger domestic league teams came knocking? Not practical.
