I think they are ment to be wingbacks in a 3-5-2 or 5-3-2. IMO that formation would be of quiet value as a plan b; making the team more unpredictable especially in the ChL. And can also be used to give the fronttrio some rest by only playing the 2 of them. But this formation requires practice and Bussi and Iniesta in topform to manage the balance, so no way we should start experimenting in a important match; I would go for the normal 4-3-3:

Vidal-Masch-Pique-Umtiti/Digne(defensiv)
Bussi
Denis-Gomes
Messi-Suarez-Turan
and messis starting point a bit more to the middle, now Vidal is on the pitch. Would love to give Roberto a try on Gomes or Bussi position but the game is to big to risky it.
