Hey guys, we have a new copa opponent: Unionistas, its a 3rd league team so one league above UD Barbastro! Again away so it will be another tough match. There is still no date when we will play against them, will be 16, 17 or 18th January. If we qualify against Osasuna and play final in Super Copa we wont play om 16th January.

FYI, Unionistas just beat Barca Atletic last week.

BTW, they are a relatively new club founded in 2013 by a group of supporters of a more known/traditional UD Salamanca (who actually spent 12 seasons in La Liga, last in 1998-99) after their dissolution earlier that year.

Unionistas started in Primera Provincial de Salamanca (6th tier) in September 2014 and by the start of 2018/19 they got promoted all the way to a former Segunda B (nowadays Primera RFEF - 3rd tier) where they are still playing.

They finished just shy of promotion play-off spots in both last two seasons but are struggling more so far this year currently sitting 13th, just 4 points above the relegation zone. Actually have good defense (joint 4th best in the league) but struggle offensively. Only last placed Teruel who are still winless (they somehow have 11 draws in 18 games) have scored less goals. They probably won't have much problems scoring two or three past our defense though.

Hope we see Roque and some kids.
Pretty sure we see mostly first XI. Xavi already started most of the best players against the 4th division side last round and after the clasico humiliation, it doesn't look easier.

Are we up for it? Xavi and Barca are doing great in the race to avoid relegation but Salamanca is no joke.
We must not get carried away and follow the plan. Stick to a ridiculously high line to unlock the achievement of getting scored at by every single team in any Spanish division.
