As did Zidane, Simeone, Pirlo, Marcelino, Lopetegui...

Koeman isn't even good enough to manager Everton lol.

So do you think a other coach would have saved us? Dont you realize its not about the coach but more about our squad. How many coaches do we need to fire and hire to realize that we have shit players?

Barcelona is not built on having to defend, they never were.

Alves, Puyol, younger Pique, Maxwell etc were terrible as well if they had to defend a game where possession is 50/50 and the midfield couldn't put pressure on the ball

Barca are progressing and going in right direction compared to another season of last year with same players older. The decisons taken by Koemann tonight were crazy against this PSG.

Go watch the game if you dont know how bad Busquets, Pique and Lenglet were.

Needs no more explaining.

Yeah this is great, I put up numbers, reasoning, and this is what you give.
Why are you even writing if you have nothing to say, but the most predictable stuff?

You are mistaken or didn't even watch games back then to think Puyol and Alves weren't solid defensively.

Ronaldo scored a number of times when up against Alves and gave him the runaround with his movement quite a few tines.

This was almost exclusively in the 12/13 season and 13/14 season. Alves had some very noteworthy performances against him, like the 0-2 at the Bernabeu in the 09/10 LL Clasico

Best midfielder around
Fuck was Khabib doing at the Camp Nou?! Massive Madridista who was in our stadium cheering for PSG tonight. Embarrassing.

Doesnt matter what season it was. Ronaldo got the better of Alves plenty and scored v Barca.

Been discussed to death before and there still seems to be this myth that he dominated him every time and didnt.

Alves was great 1v1, Puyol was a great defender, sure.
Maybe you didn't watch pre-turnaround though, I doubt you would say Puyol was very 'solid' in 2003. Great, sure, but not solid
Anyway, you are right, some of them were good defenders in themselves, but the defence as a whole was truly shit if you would've just switched them and put them in Man Utd or Juventus, playing their way.
That was my point.

Tone down a bit lads.
Koeman is trying to revert an illness that has been there for years.
Tonight's game was a confirmation that he has not reverted it yet when facing the top dogs in Europe.
That does not mean his work is not worth. We have discussed it several times, and the underlying numbers simply prove that Koeman has improved the team.

Now, about the personnel, I will have to agree with the above posts.
Pique, Busquets should sit permanently at the bench next season, and Lenglet should be a sub.
