Ironically though it seems that you have missed the point. EV's fault doesn't translate to advocating that EV gets sacked

What point? It's a fair assumption, even a logical one at that. If EV is to blame, the repercussions should equal the magnitude of his fault, no? He clearly does not possess the right mentality and approach needed in a club of Barca's philosophy and history.

Even if he is a third class manager, he is still better than Emery.

Emery didn't go out to Roma, and Emery won several Europa League titles while Valverde and Athletic were choking away ties in the same competition.

Back to the tactical analysis of the game, it's painfully obvious in cases like these that you can't risk it but just holding on to not conceding that 1 or 2 goals. You NEED the away goal(s). Dembele may be a 'tactical liability' but even on his dusted form he has shown he can create the right chances seemingly out of nowhere.

How many big team participate in the CL each season? How many of them get to win it? So, should these teams fire their managers year in year out?

Be sure, when Messi leaves this club, we.ll be back in the 2000 years...just don.t want to imagine what will be. Because we pay 150 m on 84th minute sub-players. Stupid management that destroyed this club. With the GOAT in team...what a shame.

Andre 'kiss of death' Gomez. I'd be interested to see the goals for and against when he's been on the park during his time at Barca. As off the game as Iniesta may have been i'd take him over a fresh Gomez even if he'd played 180 minutes.

Barca weren't looking great in defence and in order to solidify things they should have reverted to their standard back 4 and thrown on Dembele in an effort to push Roma back. Barca's best defence has always been keeping possession and forcing the other team to defend.

Just hoping the team finishes the season strong and someone stops Real in the Champions League.

Yes, that was obviously the thought process. The standards for every team is exactly the same - Both Barca and Qarabag should fire their coaches. 20/20 vision there, good Sir.
