Yes I do. Rummenigge said the same. There are often these talks that Bayern is an arrogant club. And sometimes there are statements by Hoeness that make me understand supporters of other clubs might think so. But first of all these guys have manners. Asking Pep for Barca-weaknesses before he takes over would be classless. He´ll have a hard time as a Bayern-Coach when the two sides meet. Because there is no doubt that Pep loves Barca. But asking him now would not only show a lack of respect towards Pep but towards Jupp Heynckes as well.

Klopp said at his press conference that he'll bet that there will be talks between Sammer and Guardiola and that those two will determine line-up/tactics; a not so subtle hint that he presumes that Sammer is running the whole show and not Heynckes.
Heynckes was kinda infuriated and said: 'I don't consult ANYONE.' Have some respect !'

Gotta love Klopps' mindgames ;)

As long as he had an equal opponent concerning mindgames - that would be ok. But we both know that Heynckes is pretty much old school and would never pay back in his currency. Therefore no - I don´t like that. It is lame to do that knowing that your aim will not pay back.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind it if it did happen. Of course, if I had to pick one, I'd pick Barca, but if it's not Barca, I would want Borussia to win it.

Same. If we played Dortmund in the final and lost I'd be obviously upset but still happy for them. Anything except losing to Madrid in the final would be a relief at this stage.

Yeah, it's a one-sided battle. And this time, Jupp fell for it completely. I mean, when Klopp accuses him of being a strawman/lightning rod, Heynckes is upset and acts like one, which was kinda funny.
And yes, it's not the noble thing to do, but since the Barca staff usually keeps a low profile in such matters, I'm glad Klopp is taking that job of keeping them busy a bit.

Off course did Jupp fall for it. As an old fashioned coach Heynckes stands for values like respect and correct behavior. We could discuss whether it´s a good thing to be that way. Even if i would not be a Bayern-fan I would not like that sort of keeping them busy. But in a way its a typical Klopp - and therefore I don´t like him.
And I do like the low profile of the barca-stuff in such matters. These are shallow waters for dirty little sharks like Mou and Klopp

A lot of respect for both Dortmund & Bayern so the tie was going to be tough either way...Particularly because Barcelona have been decimated by defensive injuries - it clearly makes them more vulnerable, IMHO

2nd leg at Camp Nou is an advantage but I scarcely believe it will factor heavily into the tie...Bayern fear no one so a positive result at Allianz would go a long ways to reaching the final, obviously

Truth is, Bayern are strong all over the park and will be extremely difficult to breakdown I fear...Messi's recovery will play a big factor in that...For Barcelona, per usual (Loop it for years now), it'll come down to the defense

Hehe, I wouldn't bracket Klopp and Mou. Considering mindgame-quality I rate Klopp higher, but Klopp hasn't stooped to Mourinho levels like indicating player x smells bad or putting a finger in someone elses' eyes.
Also, what Hoeneß and especially Beckenbauer said during the week wasn't exactly kind either, and when Klopp strikes back he picks the easiest-to-hit target in Heynckes. I fully expect these little skirmishes to continue, which can only be of good use to Barca as this will provide a bit of distraction. Klopp is Barcas' secret agent now. ;)

I am starting to enjoy this conversation :p. Hoeness said that Dortmund is the easiest of the three possible opponents. You can call that unkind, but it is true. Klopp spent a lot of time with his young players recently. Wrong company sometimes stopps your development. Therefore he sometimes looks like a pinball wizard in the casino royale. As long as Barca relies on that kind of agent provocateur, I am pretty fine with your diplomatic chessplay :D

Nice one.
But well, as long as Klopp keeps Jupp in full Osram-mode for the next twenty days or so, I'm fine with his ablities. And you have to admit, today was a master troll by Klopp.
Btw., I don't think someone will call Pep for advice. I mean, it's not like Pep stole some blueprints of how to play - unlike a certain club whose corporate identity shows some similarities to a certain country, know what I'm sayin'... :D

Hm ok - considering your preferences you might be right with Klopps tendency to switch on the Jupp-bulb. No one will call Pep to talk about the two games. The ones who are in contact are Rummenige and Sammer. I am sure Osram never spoke to him since the deal was made public. Seeing similarities between Bayern and the land of stolen blueprints was one the funniest things Klopp ever said understanding that Hoeness is something like the incorported counter-design to anything China stands for.

Why so serious mate, I'm just kiddin' around - positive tension n' stuff :p . The China comparison was hilarious (and out of thin air) - the 'Pöhler' at his best.

I know and I was not serious on purpose. Old farts sometimes sound strange when they try to be funny :D
To be honest I am a bit tired by these "Pöhler-politics". He has made a tramendous job in Dortmund. But since Bayern became so dominant this season he often showed that he lacks attitude in loosing. Just watch him going mad at fourth officials during games BVB lost. He did not get physical like Mou did, but he often was pretty close. On the other hand Heynckes is kind of limited verbally and has no means to react properly. He is a typical older gentleman that has no armament to shoot back and the Pöhler is intelligent. He knows that and that pisses me off.

Yeah, the Pöhler is like this Ruhrpott street kid stealing the old mans' hat and toying around with it just for shits and giggles, knowing the old guy can't do anything about it.
I didn't expect Heynckes to go off like that though, I thought he was accustomed to worse. I mean , he had to deal with Daum in the late 80s and that guy was sadistic. From 'the weather chart is more interesting than a conversation with Jupp Heynckes' to the stuff about Heynckes 'agyrias being under-supplied with blood'; well, I didn't see it coming that he'll go of like that now because of these acts of Pöhlerism.
It seems that he really striked a nerve, since Osrams' authority is kind of a touchy issue since that away match vs Mainz. (when allegedly Hoeneß entered the dressing room at half-time)

I believe in fair competition, but every advantage Barca can get now is welcome and I think this will be an explosive issue in the following weeks; you can bet that every Bayern official will be questioned about calling Pep from now on by the media.

Yes, you´re right. It´ll be an issue in the next weeks, much more than it would have been in the days of Daum. But that has nothing to do with the intensity the Pöhler attacked the authority of Heynckes. From now on any media has to feed its customers until the games have been played. The rivalry between clubs like BVB and Bayern or Barca and Real is the ideal diet to do so.
But I do not think that it´ll influence the games. It is food for the fans. On a side note: It is funny to watch how this information overkill is transformed into something similar to knowledge by the fans. For example: One of the users here wrote that Bayern was the easiest opponent for Barca since their defenders and midfielders are slow. Speaking about a Bayern-team with the likes of Demichelis, van Bommel and van Buyten it was true. But this information is three years old. If you look at Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba, Martinez, Müller and Schweinsteiger only Schweini is a bit slow (Kroos also - but....). Looking at the Caf, Schwatzgelb or other bigger fan-forums you can watch this phenomenon often. Long discussions that have been started on the basis of so called knowledge.
I do belief in fair competition as well and I think the both FCBs will have that :D
