Meh, i dont give much for the "play with Messi" argument.
Players wants to play, not sit on the bench.
We have already had talents turn us down becouse they wont be able to play even though they are fans of those players.

I see it as a real problem, either they are young and they don't want to sit on the bench all the time or they are too expensive. This is pure fact.

Gabriel Jesus is the best option. Just loan some geezer for a few months if he wants to finish the season with Palmeiras. Franco Vazquez from Napoli would also have been a great option but we ignored him.

Gabriel Jesus is 24m euros. Vazquez was 15m euros. There are always options but if we simply refuse to expand our vision and instead double down on our tunnel vision, we wont get anywhere.

Umtiti is a good signing but rest are mostly to strenghten the bench, not future stars.
Coulda gotten Gündogan for 25M but signed Gomes for 30M instead.
Its crap the most talanted strikers doesnt want to go here becouse they wont be able to play.
Coulda gotten Dybala and Dembele but now well prob go for them in 1-2 years for 10x the price instead.

the club is probably only thinking short term. Get the best out Suarez and Messi/Iniesta before they decline, the next transition would be to build around Neymar.. this current squad is good enough imo.
